Relocation Stays
Making Your Move to Dallas Simpler and More Comfortable
Relocating to Dallas is rarely a one-week project. Families moving from California, the East Coast or internationally typically need somewhere comfortable to live for two to four months while they tour neighbourhoods, evaluate school zoning, sit through the offer-and-acceptance process on a permanent home, and close on it before moving in. The standard short-stay platform inventory is not designed for this timeframe: most platform listings are configured for two-to-seven-night leisure stays, with linen and amenity setups that do not work for a family living somewhere for sixteen weeks. Hotels at this length get prohibitively expensive and lack the space a family needs. The traditional rental market does not accept three-month leases, and the lease length most landlords will accept is the lease length the family does not yet want to commit to.
Our Dallas relocation stays sit deliberately in this gap. Properties are sized for families (typically three to five bedrooms), located in the neighbourhoods that incoming families actually consider (Highland Park, Preston Hollow, Lakewood, north Plano, Frisco and the wider Park Cities area), and configured for a longer-stay use case: full kitchens with pantry space, in-unit laundry, family-appropriate furniture rather than studio-flat minimalism, and reliable Wi-Fi for parents working remotely during the transition. Stay lengths run from thirty nights to one hundred and eighty nights with rates that step down progressively. We can also offer school-zoning advice, neighbourhood orientation and introductions to relocation-experienced real estate agents on request.

Proximity
Location and Proximity
Highland Park and University Park are popular with relocating families seeking top-rated schools and an established residential environment, while Preston Hollow offers larger homes and access to leading private schools. Plano and Frisco remain common choices for corporate and technology-sector relocations thanks to their highly regarded school districts and family-friendly communities. Lakewood and East Dallas appeal to those looking for mature neighbourhoods, diverse housing options and convenient access to central Dallas.
FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I extend a Dallas relocation stay if my permanent home purchase takes longer than expected?
A. Yes, with reasonable notice. Property availability is the main constraint, and ideally we would know about an extension twenty-one days before the booked check-out. In practice, most extension requests are accommodated, occasionally with a property change if the booked unit has a confirmed reservation following. We will not move a family at short notice unless the alternative is unavailable, and we will not charge extension premiums except where the underlying nightly rate has changed seasonally.
Q. How does the rate structure work across a 90 or 120 night stay?
A. Rates step down at the thirty-night, sixty-night and ninety-night marks, with the best rate per night applied to stays of one hundred and twenty nights or longer. This rewards committed-stay lengths and reflects the lower operational tempo on longer stays. We quote the full rate ladder at the strategy call so families can see the structure across the planned stay length.
Q. Can my company set up a corporate account for relocation stays?
A. Yes, this is one of our standard offerings. Corporate relocations through HR teams or relocation management companies are billed monthly to the company rather than the family, which simplifies the accounting and benefits package. We have established corporate accounts with several Dallas-area employers and relocation management firms. Setting up a new account takes about three business days.
Q. Are your Dallas relocation properties pet-friendly?
A. Most of our Dallas relocation inventory is pet-friendly with a standard pet deposit and a per-pet rate adjustment. Some specific properties exclude pets because of building rules or owner preferences. We confirm pet acceptance and any restrictions at the time of enquiry. Families relocating with pets should mention species, breed and size at the strategy call so we can recommend appropriate properties.
Q. Can you help with school zoning advice when picking a Dallas neighbourhood?
A. Yes, this is one of the most common requests from relocating families. We provide an orientation overview of the major Dallas-area school districts (Highland Park ISD, Dallas ISD, Plano ISD, Frisco ISD, Lewisville ISD), their general reputation and the zoning catchments for our relocation inventory. We are not licensed school consultants and we recommend families also work with a local real estate agent who specialises in family relocations for detailed zoning advice. We can make introductions to those agents.
